On the occasion of Berlin Art Week 2024, Ephra is once again opening its unique approach to a wide audience with its first pop-up exhibition ‘On Conncetion - Verbunden sein’. For four days and over three floors, 14 internationally renowned artists from Berlin will present their art in the new Ephra Haus. In addition, the house will be used for various workshop formats during the exhibition period, in which artists will meet visitors young and old to build connecting paths together, dream up visions for the future and bubble up a lot of joy into the Ephra Haus.
The programme
Carmen Lael Hines & Laura Nitsch: The garden for all the senses – a two-day workshop for school classes
What should a garden look, feel, smell and taste like? And what does a garden specifically for children look like? Together with the author and curator Carmen (Institute for Postnatural Studies, Madrid) and the artist and filmmaker Laura, we will explore in the garden for all senses the potential of gardening as a practice of care and leisure for children.
11/09/2024 – 12/09/2024
The two-day workshop can be booked by school classes.
Slavs and Tatars: Giving Shape to Sounds – a book presentation and workshop for children
The new sound book “Azbuka Strikes Back” by the artist collective Slavs and Tartars explores the history of fleeting sounds in search of protection. In an accompanying workshop, we explore various sounds and letters of the Arabic, Latin and Cyrillic alphabets and find forms for them. More information
